The Africa Rising narrative has been adopted by government and non-government institutions with the goal contributing to structural transformation in Africa – which is guided by economic principles. Ousainou Ngum provides a critical analysis, from a civil society perspective, on the Africa Rising Narrative and the structures, drivers and determinants of inequalities and how inequalities are currently being addressed within the global context.
