I am grateful to Steve for his continued focus and investigation of Africa’s policy challenges. Future development efforts are going to demand creative thinking, given the multiplicity of issues today constraining clear policy formulation, requiring comprehensiveness and attention to inclusiveness of all groups in society, for social, economic and political development. Each country has to carefully design policy and interventions to suit circumstances. One point remains clear in all this, the type and quality of education will remain critically important, in order to sustain Africa’s capacity to confront the ever changing challenges and maximize and exploit benefits from dividends like that of the youth today.
