Please mark Sunday June 10th in your calendars for our annual Africa Study Group BBQ. This year we are fortunate again to hold this BBQ at the country home of François Arsenault in Aylmer (address: 35 Chemin Lattion). Those of you with a car will find the Google map link below. Those without a car are encouraged to contact an ASG member to organize transportation and if needed, send an email to ASG. Last year pick-up organization didn’t work very well as volunteers ended up waiting for people who did not show-up on time. A direct bus from downtown Ottawa is also available: Link to STO
Guests are invited, starting at 4:00 PM. The charge is the same as previous year’s, $15.00 per person, which covers the meal and drinks.
As per the ASG’s new business model announcement, those attending the picnic will be able to pay their annual fees on site, should they wish to do so. For those unable to attend the picnic or who prefer paying their annual fees at a later time, we will inform you as soon as the electronic payment method is finalized.
Please indicate your interest in attending the BBQ by sending a message to asgottawa@gmail.com with the number of people in your party (yourself, plus spouse and/or guests).
The event will go ahead even if it’s rainy on the 10th, as there is plenty of room inside. A big thank you to François and Yolande, for hosting us.

Veuillez inscrire dans votre agenda qu’il y aura un BBQ le 10 juin, pour marquer la fin de notre saison, la dixième. Nous avons la chance de fêter cette année chez François Arsenault, au No 35, rue Lattion, à Aylmer. Vous trouverez le lien sur Google Map ci-haut. Ceux et celles qui n’ont pas de voiture, sont invités à contacter un membre du GRA pour organiser du co-voiturage. En cas de problème, veuillez envoyer un courriel au GRA. Vous êtes invités à la fête dès 16h00. Les frais sont de $15 par personne, couvrant le repas et les boissons.
Selon le nouveau modèle d’affaires du GRA, ceux et celles qui souhaitent payer leur cotisation annuelle et qui viendront au pique-nique, il sera possible de payer sur place. Nous vous informerons dès que le mode de paiement électronique sera organisé pour les autres qui voudront payer ultérieurement.

Nous sommes très reconnaissants à François et Yolande de nous recevoir chez eux. Le BBQ aura lieu même en cas de pluie, il y a de la place à l’intérieur. Au plaisir de vous voir en grand nombre.
