The Africa Study Group and the Africa-Canada Forum are pleased to invite you to a conference on Policy Coherence for Better Development Results in Africa. The conference will bring academics, non-governmental and governmental speakers. This discussion will contribute to a reflection on how Canada engages with Africa.

Benjamin Zyla, School of International Development and Global Studies University of Ottawa: Canada’s Peace and Security Role in Africa

Paul Hitschfeld, former ASG Chair and Director, CIDA: Canadian Business in Africa and the new Development Finance Institute (DFI)

Jean Symes, Inter Pares: A Feminist Approach to Canada’s Development Cooperation in Africa

Canadian Diplomacy in Africa and Human Rights (Speaker TBC)

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A.
