Hamid Ayoub will present Contemplation on Colour’s Conversation, a solo art exhibition at Trinity Art Gallery in Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Boulevard, Ottawa, Ontario. The gallery, owned and operated by the City of Ottawa, features the works of local and regional artists selected through an annual peer assessment process.
The exhibition is about the interaction of the properties of colour – hue, value, density – in an abstracted visual conversation. Brush and palette knife painting techniques shape the spontaneous flow of acrylic paint in a rhythmic harmony, symbolically suggesting human interaction. Various sized canvases capture the influence of African art and traditions on Hamid’s artistic vision.
